Finishes for All Tastes

A Selection of Thicknesses

One of the characteristics that make Neolith stand out is how thin it is; it comes in thicknesses of 3, 6, 12 and 20 mm. The difference in their use varies based on the intended purpose. For furniture and interior cladding, using 3 mm is recommended; for flooring (interior and exterior) and exterior applications (like ventilated facades), 6 mm is recommended; whereas 12 mm is reserved for more demanding product uses such as for kitchen worktops.

Three Large Slab Formats

Neolith comes in two large formats measuring 3,200 x 1,500, 3,200 x 1,600 mm and 3,600 x 1,200 mm, which means greater uniformity and continuity in different spaces for easier handling and to minimise the number of joints for more aesthetic and hygiene benefits.

FAQs

What are Neolith worktops made of?

Neolith worktops are unique in that they use a process called sintering during the production process. Essentially, this involves heating raw materials and applying extreme pressures in order to maximise strength and versatility. This engineering process mimics the natural process which happens to organic stone over millions of years (granitization).

The materials that are processed in order to create sintered stone slabs include granite, glass and natural oxides.

Are Neolith worktops heat resistant?

Because of the extreme heat and pressure which Neolith countertops are subjected to in the manufacturing process, they are incredibly strong. They offer unprecedented levels of durability and strength, making them resistant to most things including fire and heat. Hot pans can be placed on this type of worktop without any cracking, scorching or discoloration.

Are Neolith worktops durable?

This type of worktop is extremely durable, offering fantastic resistance to scratching, heat and other abrasive objects.

One thing to note is that it does not offer similar levels of pressure resistance to that of Quartz. Still, you are talking about a countertop that is virtually indestructible in a domestic setting.
